Mood Logger Privacy Policy
Published by Wrist Context Labs
Effective date: August 2, 2026
Mood Logger is a Garmin Connect IQ app designed to keep its app data on the user's Garmin watch. This policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and the choices available to users.
Information handled by the app
Mood Logger handles the following information on the watch:
- Mood selections entered by the user and the associated calendar dates.
- Daily reminder settings and local scheduling or diagnostic status.
- Available Garmin Body Battery and stress samples accessed through Garmin Sensor History.
- Daily Body Battery and stress averages calculated and cached for the app's seven-day displays.
- The device's local date and time, used to organize daily entries and schedule reminders.
Mood Logger does not request or use location, contacts, payment details, photos, advertising identifiers, or a user account.
How the information is used
The information is used only to:
- Save or update one mood entry for a calendar day.
- Display recent mood history and seven-day charts.
- Show mood alongside available Body Battery and stress context.
- Schedule an optional on-device reminder and suppress it after a mood is logged for the day.
Storage and transmission
Mood entries, cached wellness averages, reminder settings, and local diagnostic values are stored in Mood Logger's application storage on the watch. Mood Logger has no developer-operated account, server, cloud sync, advertising, or analytics service. The app does not transmit this information to Wrist Context Labs or to third parties.
Garmin and the user's device may separately process device and Sensor History information under Garmin's own terms and privacy policies. Mood Logger only accesses information made available through the Connect IQ permissions granted for the app.
Garmin data and consent
By installing Mood Logger with its requested Sensor History permission, the user permits the app to read available Body Battery and stress data for the limited on-device purposes described above. If that permission or data is unavailable, the related values may not appear in the app.
Information entered into Mood Logger is provided to the application published by Wrist Context Labs, not to Garmin. Garmin is not responsible or liable for information submitted to Mood Logger. Although Wrist Context Labs publishes the app, the app does not send that information to Wrist Context Labs.
Sharing and sale
Wrist Context Labs does not receive, sell, rent, or share mood entries or Garmin wellness measurements handled by Mood Logger.
Retention and deletion
Mood Logger keeps date-keyed mood entries and cached daily wellness averages for the current seven-calendar-day window: today and the six preceding calendar days. When the app starts, it removes those records for tracked dates outside that window. If the app is not opened when a date leaves the window, removal occurs the next time the app starts. Reminder settings and local scheduling or diagnostic status remain until they are changed, the app is uninstalled, or its application storage is otherwise cleared through Garmin's app-management controls. Wrist Context Labs has no server-side copy and cannot remotely retrieve or delete on-watch data.
Support communications
If a user contacts Wrist Context Labs by email, Wrist Context Labs will receive the sender's email address and the contents of the message, including any information the sender chooses to include. That information is used only to respond, provide support, investigate reported problems, and maintain reasonable support records. Users should not include sensitive health information in support messages. A user may request deletion of a support conversation by contacting the address below, subject to any legal obligation to retain it.
Security
Mood Logger relies on Garmin's application-storage and permission systems to protect on-watch data. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, but the app reduces exposure by not transmitting its app data to a developer-operated service.
Children's privacy
Mood Logger is a general wellness utility and is not directed to children under 13. Wrist Context Labs does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
Wellness notice
Mood Logger is a general wellness tool. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Users should seek qualified professional help for medical or mental-health concerns.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if Mood Logger's features or data practices change. The effective date above will be revised when a material change is made. The policy will remain available at this same URL or a redirect will be provided if its location changes.
